I was recently contacted by an organization that features entrepenuers and small businesses in the Phoenix area! Their goal is to help hard-working, inspiring people tell their stories authentically and in their own words. They highlight the culture and community of the area and I was excited to take part.
Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Schmidtman.
Hanna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was first introduced to photography in high school. I lived overseas as a military dependent and had a fantastic video-and-communications professor who taught photography fundamentals. I had a decent point-and-shoot and started capturing all of the places we visited while living in Europe. I was always drawn to the creative arts but ended up going to school to become an engineer. Despite the technical day job, I still had a passion for visual arts and travel and continued documenting with the camera. As my photography improved, friends and family started asking for portraits and the business blossomed.
I’ve always been pretty self conscious and awkward in front of the camera, so I made it a mission to deliver images and an experience that clients celebrate!
